Shaminder and Darren were married at the Gurdwara in Ealing in October last year and I’ve finally got a chance to share a couple of my favourite images from her mehndi night with you. The very talented and lovely Nari Mahay was her henna artist on the night and of course she was also responsible for Shaminder’s fabulous hair and make-up for the wedding. I had such a fun evening with the girlies and look forward to hopefully photographing many Asian events and weddings in future!

Thank you for choosing me to be the lucky girl to be on hand to photograph your special evening/day for you Shaminder! Gorgeous, gorgeous..

After Darren and Shaminder’s Sikh wedding ceremony, their wedding celebration was held at Savill Court in Windsor. We had a great time photographing their wedding day and being able to  do their couple portraits in the grounds at Saville Court was the icing on the (wedding) cake. I loved shooting with all the autumn colours in the late afternoon sunshine..

Below are some of my favourite images from their bridal portraits. Please feel free to leave comments :-)

A gorgeous couple with a gorgeous future together.. wishing you much love and happiness x

A big thank  you to  my sister, Ilze from ShotGirl Productions, who was the second photographer on this occassion. It’s so much fun being able to photograph together and I hope we get to do so more often in the coming years.

You may recognise some of the next images as within days of my having finished the post-production on these I launched my new look website late last year, and of course I had to make sure these were on there!

The gorgeous Shaminder and Darren were married at the Gurdwara in Ealing in a Sikh wedding ceremony (also called the “Anand Karaj“) in late October. It was another gorgeous autumn day, but of course this was an Asian wedding so colour abounded! We had such an amazing day photographing these two and their friends and family..

The reception was held at Savill Court, Windsor (more about that to follow in the next post).

Their dream team included:
Caterers: The Clay Oven
DJ: Highnote Entertainment/DJ Gurpreet

Below are some of my favourite images from their day. Please feel free to leave comments :-)

After the ceremony, we went back to Shaminder’s parents home which was the perfect opportunity for us to get a few portraits of her.

0285 The post-wedding rituals of a traditional Sikh wedding consist of vidaai or doli ceremony. It is a very emotional affair for the bride’s family. As the bride departs from her parent’s house, she throws back handful of rice over her shoulder, thereby wishing prosperity for her parents and family, which she leaves behind to start a new life with new dreams and aspirations.

Many congratulations to you both. What an amazingly colourful and emotional wedding ceremony!

More about the evening celebrations in the next post.

Hai Ban and Vay were also married on the 6 September and their wedding celebration day was on 23 September. Family and group photos were taken in Greenwich Park (remember to obtain a permit for the Royal Parks well in advance) and we had a lot of fun capturing some special moments between the two of them. Evening celebrations followed at Hong Kong City. Here’s a few favourite favourites from their day:Vay and Terresa (see below) have been best friends since childhood – so how sweet that they will always share this important date in their diaries in future too).

Congratulations Hai Ban and Vay! All the very best for a happy, fun-filled future together xx

Duong and Terresa were married on 6 September at the Clarendon Hotel, in Blacheath Village and it was a wonderful fun day with just their closest friends and family (and I’ve never laughed so much at a wedding!). Sunday was a day of celebration for both their families and friends at Hong Kong City, in New Cross. I love this image..
A very big thank you to Duong and Terresa for a very special two days. I had a wonderful time and I hope you’ll treasure the images of your wedding celebration for years to come. I wish you much love and happiness.. and I think it will come easy to a couple so clearly very much in love. Enjoy the Maldives! xx

And a big thank you to my sister, Ilze who was my assistant on Sunday. She got some beautiful natural images which have made it into Duong and Terresa’s gorgeous GraphiStudio WeddingBook. Thanks sis x
